I will dominate 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be shown live on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the combatants met personally to publicize next month's boxing match.

Former two-time unified boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

Despite such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK rival Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

However, the novice is still one of the sport's largest financial successes, regularly earning huge financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
